Ok for this month's photography challenge I want us to learn a little something more about our cameras so for this month I found a tutorial on white balance that we can all read over. Here's the challenge:

Read the tutorial on white balance and play around a bit with your settings. While you are playing around take a few pictures of something that reminds you of the special guy in your life. Play around with the white balance on the photos and choose your favorites. Using your favorite photos create a layout explaining why the item you photographed reminds you of your special guy. Above all else make sure you have fun with this! That is the most important part of the challenge, if we learn something new great, but make sure you have fun doing it.

Tutorial - White Balance

Post your layouts in the Digital Paper Hearts gallery and link them here in order to receive credit. You will receive 10 points for completing the challenge and an extra 5 points if you use products from the Digital Paper Hearts store to create your layout.

In addition, I will have a fun sampler for my A Day Just For Dad Kit that you will receive as a posting bonus for completing the challenge.

The matching game is in individual pngs for layouts and sheets for printing. Kids can color the shape, trace the word, and then play the matching game. I recommend printing them on card stock or laminating them after the kids color and trace.

I'm in charge of the June Photography Challenge at Digital Paper Hearts so come check it out! We are going to work on white balance and photographing something that reminds us of the special guy(s) in our lives. Finally, we are creating layouts to explain our photographs.

Digital Paper Hearts is now using a point system as a reward for our new challenges. For every challenge you complete you get 10 points.
